1913 Type 2 PCGS Proof 68 Buffalo Nickel (S)

Description: This coin was purchased from the Bowers sale 3/05 and described as follows:This fortunate survivor exhibits dominant golden-blue iridescence that yields to warmer champagne-lavender tinting over the center and right periphery on the obverse. A fine-grain satin texture is readily evident, and there are no grade-limiting contact marks on either side. Sharply, if not fully struck, with just a few trivial flecks toward the left obverse border that we mention solely for the sake of accuracy. Beautiful, original, and rare, this coin has all that it takes to be a highlight of a major numismatic auction.
